The hike to the lake was grueling, but it was worth it. This picture does not do the lake justice. I have never seen a picture that does. The mountains look like they have been carved out in a bowl shape. The temperature was significantly lower here than the trailhead. There was ice on the lake. At the end of the lake (left hand side of photo), the water tumbles down the mountain. It is really breathtaking up there.
