Here is a view of the lake we were hiking around. It had rained heavily the night before making the trail conditions poor in one section. The mud kept sticking to my boots. It would get progressively thicker as I walked to the point where it was almost painful to lift my feet. We did not reach this section until we were already most of the way around the lake.
