The first morning we woke up very early (easy to do due to the time zone difference). We were in Yellowstone and at the trail head by 6 am. Just as we were heading up the first hill, two deer ran right in front of us. This was a sign that hiking here was going to be very different from the East Coast hikes we were used to.
